Panzy is an interdisciplinary artist whose work examines the increasingly blurred boundary between the physical and digital self, particularly the ways queer identity has become deeply intertwined with the internet and digital culture. Themes of brainrot, diminishing attention spans, technological dependence, parasocial relationships, online personas, content creation, online subcultures, lewd imagery, and the performance of contemporary queer identity appear throughout their practice. Drawing on the visual languages of the internet and the platforms that shape everyday life, Panzy explores how digital spaces influence how we understand ourselves, interact with others, and construct our identities. Their work considers identity as something performed, expressed, and negotiated through digital spaces, where self-presentation and personal expression are shaped by the platforms and online communities we engage with.

🤳Self-portraiture is central to Panzy's practice, often taking the form of selfies and imagery drawn from their own digital presence. Even when their body or likeness is not directly depicted, their work functions as an extension of the self, reflecting personal experiences, interests, and relationships to digital culture. Working across a range of materials, Panzy incorporates color, text, digitally influenced imagery, technology, user interfaces, social media, humor, and memes to explore the relationship between online self-presentation and lived experience. At the heart of their practice is an interest in how the internet shapes our sense of self and becomes increasingly inseparable from the ways we experience, express, and understand ourselves in everyday life.
